Patrick Dewey Crowder, 76, Covington, died, Sunday June 24, 2018 at Carrington Cottage in Daleville, VA. He was born March 9, 1942 in Alleghany County, a son of the late Henry Dewey Crowder and Ida Crowder Crowder. Mr. Crowder retired in 2009 from Northrop Grumman as an Engineer after being with the company for 48 years. He was a member of Pinnell United Methodist Church. Surviving are a number of cousins, Phyllis L. Burr; Mary L. Wolfe; Lola and Wayne Angell; Blue and Cheryl Lockhart; Gerald Lockhart; Carolyn and Buzzy Ross and Betty Perkins, all of Covington; Ronnie and Marie Tyree of Fincastle; Ruth and Bob Nye of Kissimmee, FL; Roger and Kathy Logwood; Donnie Longwood; Eugene Logwood, all of Staunton; Joan Walk of MD and Jean and Bill Perzneki of Baltimore, MD. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 2:00 pm from the graveside in Lone Star Cemetery with the Rev. David Brown officiating.
