Marie Wright Anderson, 88, of 100 Wet Ground Lane, died, Monday October 31, 2016 at her residence.
She was born March 27, 1928 at Catawba, a daughter of the late Charles and Della Francisco Wright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Anderson in 1997 and also by one brother and two sisters.
Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Joyce Patzke and her husband Al of Las Vegas, NV; three sons, Clarence W. “Lurch” Anderson and his wife Penny; George R. “Richie” and Rita Higgins and Harold W. “Pee Wee” and Cassandra all of Covington; four grandchildren, Meghan Olsen and her husband Chris of Columbus, OH; Katie Patzke of Las Vegas; Kari Bowser and her husband Jeremy of Iron gate and C.R. Anderson and his wife Kim of Covington; two great grandchildren, Eli and Gus ; one sister, Virginia Garmen of Covington and Mason Wright and his wife Connie of Vinton and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday, November 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Price officiating.
Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends attending the servcie.
The family will receive their friends from 12:30 PM until service time at the Arritt Funeral Home on Friday.
Memorial donations in Mrs. Anderson’s name may be made to Faith Baptist Church Building Fund, 311 Jackson Drive, Covington, VA 24426.
