John William Craft Jr., 85 of 205 Big Mountain Rd, died Friday March 3, 2017, at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor.

John William Craft Jr., 85 of 205 Big Mountain Rd, died Friday March 3, 2017, at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor.
Mr. Craft was born May 26, 1931, in Alleghany County the son of the late John W. Craft Sr. and Edith Bush Craft. He was also preceded in death by a Son, William Eugene “Gene” Craft, in 2005 and a Daughter, Linda Renee Craft, in 2013.
Mr. Craft was a veteran of the Korean War with the U.S. Navy. He was a retired letter carrier with the United States Postal Service and a member of First Christian Church. John was an avid outdoorsman.
He is survived by his Wife of 62 years, Rosemary Wright Craft, of Covington and a Son, John Randall “Randy” Craft, of Salem.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 9,, 2017, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating and Rev. Raymond Christian assisting.
Interment will be made in Alleghany Memorial Park with graveside rites conducted by the Curtis A. Smith Post #100 Veterans of Foreign War.
The family will receive their friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Arritt Funeral Home.
