Donavan Elden Ward

Don often came in our store just to "sit a spell". We so enjoyed his visits and we talked about everything from local news to national politics. He was very knowledgeable on a number of subjects. He will be missed.

I am so sad to learn of Don's passing. I knew him when he was running Rottie's Gym on Main Street in Covington. Although he had many skills and talents, one that is missing from hi obit is upholstery. He could take the most beat up piece of furniture and make it look brand new. I, and many other, had lots of good times with him at his gym. Once, when one of the guys asked him what was the coldest weather he ever experienced back in his native Wisconsin, Don's reply was that "No one knows. They didn't have thermometers that went that low!" RIP, my friend!
