GARLAND HENNING Garland Via Henning, 101, died Sunday, December 28, 2008, in the Mapleleaf Health Care Center at Statesville, NC. Miss Henning was born October 9, 1907, at Henning, WV, a daughter of the late William H. and Minnie Via Henning. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Gladys Loudermilk, Glenna Bland and Alice Wood, and by two brothers, Gordon Henning and Wilson Henning. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and great great nieces and great great nephews. In accordance with her wishes, Miss Henning's body has been cremated. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2009, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home. Interment will be made in Alleghany Memorial Park. The family will receive their friends for one hour prior to the funeral service at Arritt Funeral Home.
