Thomas Frederick Bauman, Sr., 73, of 932 Allison Way, died Friday, May 6, 2011 at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor. He was born July 24, 1937 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late John Charles Bauman, Sr. and Anne Fritz Bauman. Mr. Bauman served with the Untied States Air Force. He retired in 1992 from Meadwestvaco in the Digester Dept. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Bessie Jordan "Bess" Bauman of Covington; one son and daughter in law, Thomas Bauman, Jr. and Diana of Roanoke; two daughters and sons - in law, Sandra and Dale Wheeler of Highland Springs and Tina and Phillip May, Sr. of Covington; grandchildren, Emily Bauman;Chloe Bauman;Suzanne Carper;Andy Wheeler and his wife, Andrea; Travis Frame;Phillip May Jr.; Dakota May ; Joey Wheeler; LeAnn Craft and her husband Joshua ; Amy Bauman and Justin Sizemore;; great grandchildren, Kaleigh Sizemore, Destiny Craft, Alyssa Wheeler, Charity Craft, Andy Wheeler, Jr. and Bailey Craft. In keeping with Mr. Bauman ‘s wishes, his body has been cremated. The interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
