Alta Ruth Hall Wolfe, 83, of 605 East Hemlock Street, died, Tuesday, January 26, 2021.
Mrs. Wolfe was born September 2, 1937, in Tazewell County a daughter of the late Melvin and Mildred Hurst Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Floyd Wolfe, a Daughter, Millie Wilson, a brother, James Hall and a great grandson, Bentley Kinser.
She had retired as a service clerk at the former Halmode, Inc. plant in Covington and from the Jane Colby plant in Clifton Forge. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Clifton Forge Women of the Moose. Alta was a great helper who never met a stranger and believed the best in everybody.
Surviving are three Sons and Daughters-in-law, Eugene and Linda Wolfe and Jimmy Wolfe and Lisa Mathena, all of Bluefield, and Bobby and Betty Wolfe of Covington; a son-in-law, Bob Wilson and wife Jewel, of Covington; two Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Melvin and Sandra Hall of Bluefield and Allen and Judy Hall of Sevierville, TN; 7 grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with the current Covid-19 pandemic guidelines; you are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing at all times while attending the service. Visitors are encouraged to stop by the funeral home prior to the service to view/sign the book.
The funeral service will be held Friday, January 29, 2021, at 12:00 PM at the graveside in Alleghany Memorial Park with Pastor Stan Sizemore officiating.
