ANNE LOAN Anne Hoover Loan, 85, of 723 N. Rockbridge Ave., died Monday, June 17, 2013 at The Golden Living Center in Clifton Forge. She was born July 24, 1927 in Marlinton, West Virginia, a daughter of the late James P. and Alvie Freil Hoover. Mrs. Loan retired as a clerk with the former Leggett Department Store in Covington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Allen R. Loan of Covington; a daughter, Judy Hight and her husband of Roanoke; two grandsons, Brian Hight and Kimberly Bennett of Salem and Timothy Hight of Bedford; six great grandchildren; one brother Merle Hoover of Madison, WI and several nieces and nephews.
