Karen Sue Kincaid, 60, of Hot Springs, went home be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at her residence.

Bath County has always been home to Karen. She was most recently employed by Valley Super Market where she was able to share her love of cooking. Karen had a big heart filled with love and was known for her witty attitude and strong personality. It was the simple things in life that brought Karen joy; she loved spending time at home with her dog, Bridgette, while watching a good movie. Karen enjoyed the outdoors and would spend many summers camping, or nights sitting by a bonfire with her friends and family, who meant everything to her.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Helen J. Shaffier.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Felisha and son-in-law, Cory Taylor of Chesterfield, VA; and three grandchildren, Cameron, Carmen and Cadyn.

Surviving are her two Sisters, Genia Kincaid of Hot Springs and Mary (Brian) Riddleberger of Stokesdale, NC; four Brothers, all of Hot Springs, VA, Jackie Kincaid, Davy (Pam) Kincaid; Billy (Tonya) Kincaid, Dennis Kincaid and his wife, Wendy who stayed by Karen’s side 24/7 over the past few weeks. And a host of nieces and nephews.

She also leaves to cherish special friends, Warren Craven (Felisha’s Father), Pam Thacker and Stephanie Yarbrough.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated and a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at The Old Dairy, 46 Old Dairy Road, Hot Springs, VA with Rev. Dr. Cory Taylor officiating. Family will receive friends from 2:00pm – 3:00pm. Due to COVID restrictions, a small service will be held at 3:00pm with limited seating.

Arritt Funeral Home is on charge of arrangements.

Karen’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the Doris Via Cancer Fund, Mountain Regional Hospice, and to the community of friends that have shown their outpouring love and support through cards, calls, and visits during her time of illness.
