LORETTA PERSINGER Loretta Fix Persinger, 84, of 422 W. Gilliam Street, died, Monday, July 16, 2012 at the Berkshire Nursing Home in Vinton. She was born November 28, 1927 in Covington, a daughter of the late Roy and Myrtle Fridley Fix. Mrs. Persinger retired as a secretary in 2004 after 59 years of service with the former C.B. Nettleton, Inc. She was a charter member of Mallow Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Persinger in 2009 and also by a sister, Phyllis Ridgewell. Surviving are one daughter and son- in- law, Tammy and Ronnie Glover of Union, WV; two sons and daughters - in-law, Arnold and Penny Persinger and David and Laura Persinger, all of Covington, five grandsons, Justin Batten; Jonathan Batten; Bradley Persinger and Michael Persinger all of Covington and Jason Persinger of Salem; four great grandchildren; Heidi Persinger; Caradoc Persinger of Salem; Emmalee Persinger and Jaden Batten of Covington ;one step grandchild, Chyanne Tucker of Covington ; two sisters, Charlotte Redmon and Dorothy King and her husband, Basil all of Covington and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Information The family suggests that memorial donations in Mrs. Persinger's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Western Virginia Chapter, P.O. Box 310, Harrisonburg, VA 22803.
