Bruce Allen Paxton, 74, of 309 East Pennsylvania St. died Saturday, December 22, 2018, in Lewis Gale-Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor. Mr. Paxton was born April 15, 1944, in Alleghany County, a son of the late Bernie Roscoe Paxton and Beulah Broughman Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Charlie Brown, Robert Paxton, Calvin Paxton and Norman Paxton and one sister, Chrystal Brown. He had retired from Westrock and was a member of the Covington Paperworkers Union. Surviving are his Wife of 55 years, Anna Spinks Paxton, of Covington; two Sons and Daughters-in-law, Bruce and Bonnie Paxton, Jr., of Covington and Eric and Suzanna Paxton of Millboro; three grandchildren, Matthew Paxton, and his Wife, Torie, of Covington and Hayden Paxton and Macey Paxton, both of Millboro; six Brothers, Donnie Brown and his Wife, Kathy, Richard Brown and his Wife, Rosie, Michael Brown and his Wife, Suzy, and Patrick Brown all of Covington, David Paxton of Iron Gate and Russell Paxton of Clifton Forge; five Sisters, Darlene Brown of Sharon, Bertha Paxton of Clifton Forge, Linda Paxton of Covington, Kathy Paxton of Roanoke, and Betty Paxton of South Carolina; and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the graveside in Central Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Clifton Forge with the Rev. Donnie Brown officiating. The boys begged for his attention. One bought a brand new Harley just to try and get Bob to ride with him and never did. He ran around with others. There was no Christian anything, wasn't allowed to talk about Jesus. The boys are in and out of prison, one is all over the internet and in prison for destroying property and beating on women. He partied his whole life putting himself first breaking his kids and hearts through it all. The parents partied and used the kids as bait between the other kids family,it's a mess that left everyone in the family a miserable mess. Everyone knows who he really is, and his wife. She would enable her sons to beat on women and help them do it while the women begged her for help she and Bob would just laugh at them and do nothing to.the boys. There was no relationship between the kids and Bob, the kids tried so hard they went mental, emotional, anger/rage problems. This is a very rough bunch yet still prayers for their loss and that they truly find Christ sincerely.

Stanley,Donna, Meghan, Tyler and all the family I am so very sorry for your loss. Elsie was a dear freeing and a mentor for so many women who worked with her over the year. She was one of strongest woman of faith I have ever known. I will miss her deeply
