Effie Marie Craft Holestin, 76, of 826 Long Avenue, died, Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Alleghany Regional Hospital in Low Moor. She was born July 29, 1933 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Samuel L. and Virginia Tingler Craft. Ms. Holestin was an employee of the former Halmode Inc. in Covington. In addition to her parents , Ms. Holestin was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Sue Allard in 1994 and also by two nephews, Steven Montgomery and Jonathan Craft. Surviving are Gomer Holestin of Covington; three daughters, Sandy Rothwell and her husband Brian of Covington; Sharon Givens and her husband, Mike of Covington and Angela Ambrose and her husband Michael of Covington; five sons, Greg Holestin and Judy Craft of Covington; Barry Holestin and his wife Tammy of Covington; Gary Holestin and his wife Sandy of White Sulphur Springs, WV; Anthony Holestine and his wife Natalie of Covington and Terry Holestin and his wife, Jennifer of Covington; Grandchildren, David Gibson, Adam Gibson, Michelle D. Tingler, Greg Holestin, Jr., Brittany Holsetin, Shawn Phillips , Marcie Hoy, Candice RedmanChris Phillips, Dana Holestin, April Ambrose, Josh Ambrose, Barry Holestin, Jr., Mellisa Holestin, Robert McClary, Diedre McClary, Alfton Whitehead, Brooke Whitehead, Amber Holestin and Kaitlin Holestin; 29 great grandchildren; three sisters, Margie Montgomery and Phyllis King , both of Covington and Linda Joe Fury of Hopewell; one bother, James Craft of Covington ; her aide, Ruby Hunter of Covington and numerous nieces and nephews.
