Scott Richard Andrews, 74, of Covington died Sunday, December 22, 2019, in Lewis Gale Medical Center at Salem. Mr. Andrews was born November 12, 1945, in Scranton, PA, a son of the late Rev. Robert H. Andrews, Sr. and Ruth Keating Andrews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a Son, Julian Howard; two Daughters, Linda Howard and Carolyn Dockery; a Brother, Robert H. Andrews, Jr. and a Daughter-in-law, Isabell Howard. 


He had retired from the maintenance department of the Arlington County School System and was a veteran of the Vietnam war with United States Marine Corps. Surviving are his Wife, Patricia Howard Andrews, of Covington; one Son, Anthony Howard, of Stephens City; a Daughter and Son-in-law, Cynthia and Greg Crowder, of Covington; a Sister, Louise Six, of Leesburg; a niece, Sarah Morrissey, of New York and a number of grandchildren. 


In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. 


The family suggests that memorial donations in his name be made to the Alleghany Humane Society; P.O.Box 60; LowMoor, VA 24457 Arritt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
