CHARLOTTE WRIGHT Charlotte Bowen Wright, 86, died Thursday, January 28, 2010, at the Woodlands Nursing Home in Clifton Forge. Mrs. Wright was a resident of the Potts Creek area for most of her life. She was born February 16, 1923, in Alleghany County a daughter of the late Luster Bowen and Jessie Humphries Bowen Jamison. She was the first grade teacher at Boiling Spring Elementary School for a number of years and had retired in 1983 from the Covington School Board Office. She was a longtime member of Highland Chapel Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Lewis A. Wright, Sr. in 1996, her Son, Lewis A. Wright, Jr. in 2009, infant twins Alvin and Anne Wright and by three brothers, John Bowen, George Jamison and David Jamison. Surviving are her Daughter, Carol Sue Bush and her husband, Jacob, of Covington; seven grandchildren, Dixie Lee Willis, Wilsonia Bush, Sheryl Baker, Cynthia Ferris, and Chip Wright, all of Covington and Angela Coleman and Chris Wright, both of Clifton Forge; a host of great grandchildren, one great great grandson; one sister, Rosemary Wilson of Brevard, NC; one brother, Paul Jamison of Covington and several nieces and nephews.
