ALFRED BAILEY Alfred Lesslie Bailey, 64, of 420 Grande Rd., died, Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at his residence. He was born January 31, 1949 in Alleghany County, a son of the late Lacy and Nora Persinger Bailey. Mr. Bailey retired from the former Bulldog Construction Company in Covington. He was a loving father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jumbo Bailey and also two brothers and one sister. Surviving are his fianc , Sonya " Smiley" Persinger of Covington; his children, Billie Jo Loan and her husband Edward of Millboro; Alfred Bailey, Jr. of Millboro; Jennifer Robertson of Hot Springs; Nettie Shifflet and Nellie Baker, both of Covington; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nine sisters and brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. .
