Johnny McKinley Miller 73, of Covington died Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital, Blacksburg, Va.
Johnny was born December 30, 1949 in Alleghany County, and was preceded in death by his parents, the late Maynard E. Miller, Irene Plott Miller Davis and his wife Marion Neber Miller, also by two sisters and four brothers.
Mr. Miller was the owner and operator of Miller Logging for many years. He was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church and he loved and adored his family he also survered in the United States Army during Vietniam.
Surviving are five sons; John D. (Samantha) Miller of Charleston, S.C., Tim, Shawn, Travis and Dontae Miller all of Covington, VA.; four grandchildren, Cohen, Hudson, Dylan, and Hope; one sister, Diane Ryan of Covington, five brothers, Timmy (Debbie) Miller of Newcastle, VA., Stevie, Phillip, and Ellis Miller of Covington; Jimmy Miller of Salem, VA.; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 11 A.M. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Earwood officiating. The family will receive their friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
