BOYD ANDERSON Boyd McBenia Anderson, 77, of 523 W. Jackson Street, died, Tuesday evening , April 20, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Clifton Forge. He was born March 15, 1933 at Oriskany in Botetourt County, a son of the late Max W. and Ruth Bowers Anderson. Mr. Anderson served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a retired member of the Virginia National Guard. 


He retired in 1998 from AET Inc. as a Film Operator after 32 years combined with Hercules and AET. He was a longtime member of the National Rifle Association and was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman. In addition to his parents, Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Anderson, and one brother, Corky Anderson. 


Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Carole Pollock Anderson of Covington; three sons, Boyd M. Anderson , Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Covington; John Anderson and his wife, Donna, of Eagle Rock and Todd Anderson, of Covington; four grandchildren; Matthew Anderson; Travis Anderson; Katilyn Anderson and Amanda Anderson; three brothers, Ray Anderson and his wife, Jewell; Lenwood Anderson and his wife, Judy, and Louie Anderson all of Covington and several nieces and nephews. 


Memorial Information 

The family suggests that donations in Mr. Anderson's name be made to the Covington Bible Church.

I have known Todd since he was young child in pre school programs…My son Ken and Todd have been friends since they were young..Todd will be greatly missed by his Special Olympic friends and family. Rest in peace Todd.
