Christopher Mark Byer, 36, of Arlington, died, Tuesday , May 11, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Byer was born Marcy 4, 1976, in Clifton Forge a son of Ann Aldridge Russum of Beaumont, Texas and the late Steven K. Byer. Chris was a 1993 graduate of Covington High School and had attended Old Dominion University and Radford University. He was employed as an Operations Manager for the Washington Work Place in Arlington. He enjoyed singing and playing music and spending time on his computer. Surviving are his Mother and Step-father, Ann and Wayne Russum of Beaumont, TX; his brother, Steven Byer, Jr., and his wife, Lee Ann, of Lapta, MD; his sister, Lorie Ann Bostic and her husband, Brian, of White Sulphur Springs, WV; nieces and nephews Chelsea Bostic, Hannah Bostic, Steven Byer, III, and Ben Martin and one great niece, KatieLynn Bostic. The funeral service will be held Monday morning at 11:00 AM in the Parrish Court United Methodist Church. Interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive their friends Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Arritt Funeral Home.
