Donald Cuvestus Cole, 85, of 105 Mountaineer Drive died Wednesday morning, May 18, 2016, in Lewis Gale-Alleghany Hospital at Low Moor. Mr. Cole was born August 4, 1930, in Greenbrier County, WV, a son of the late Lundy Thomas and Clara Bragg Cole. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Cole, Jr. and Dale Cole and also by two sisters. Don was an active member of the community all of his life. He was the co-owner of the former H & C Auto Parts store in Covington and the owner of the Movie Store and Air Products Co. He was a longtime member of Covington Bible Church. Surviving are his Wife of 63 years, Frances Gilkeson Cole of Covington; one Son, Darus Cole, of Covington; one Daughter and Son-in-law, Peggy and David Goodwin, of Chesterfield; four grandchildren; David Cole and Delbert Cole both of Chesterfield and Darrell Cole of Arizona and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Merrell officiating assisted by the Rev. Doug Williams. Interment will be made in Alleghany Memorial Park. The family will receive their friends one hour before service time at Arritt Funeral Home.
