Jimmy Lee Moorhead, 76, of 214 Dusty's Road, died, Sunday, August 13, 2017. He was born June 25, 1941 in Zuni, New Mexico, a son of the late Leslie and Authulla McGowen Moorhead. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Moorhead and by three sisters, Nina Valdez, Wanda Needels and an infant sister. Mr. Moorhead served his country with the United States Army. He was formerly employed as a Maintenance Mechanic for Foster Farms. He was a member of Good News Church. In his free time he loved to go fishing, drink coffee and eat ice cream. He love spending time with his Children, Grandchildren and his Great Grandchildren Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Judy Wires Moorhead of Covington; two daughters, Cindee Noel and her husband Steve of Covington; Kim Allen of Tacoma, WA; one son, Dan Chumley and Arlene of Colorado; six grandchildren, Ross Noel and his wife Claire of Decatur, IL Madison Noel and Parker Noel both of Covington; Ethan Chumley and Aspen Chumley both of Colorado and Nikita Allen of Tacoma, WA; two great grandchildren, Indie Bea Noel of Decator, IL and Liam Quincy of Tacoma, WA and one sister, Effie Cardena of California and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Sunday August 20, 2017 at 5:00 PM at Good News Church with the Rev. Steve Noel officiating. The family will receive their friends from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Church on Sunday. Interment will be made in Southwest Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, VA. Memorial donations in Mr. Moorhead's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
