Connie Grimes Bogar, 45, of 911 Bennettown Road. Covington, died, Sunday, October 12, 2008 at her residence. She was born April 2, 1963 at Marlinton, West Virginia, a daughter of Blair Grimes of Frost , WV and Mary Wilfong Meador of Rocky Mount. Mrs. Bogar was employed as a cook at D & J Family Restaurant for 12 years. In addition to her parents, Connie is survived by her husband, Clifford W. Bogar of Covington; five sons, Matthew Ray of Covington; Kevin Robertson of Hot Springs; Shawn Ray of Covington; Trent Bogar of Columbia, SC and Travis Bogar of Covington; two sisters, Debra Southerland and her husband Brian of Flowery Branch , GA; Kimberly Dudley of Roanoke; one brother, Randy Dudley and his wife, Leona of Rocky Mount; her step mother, Pearl Grimes of Frost, WV three grandsons, Jacob Bogar; Bredon Bogar and Camron Bogar, all Columbia, SC and several nieces and nephews. Connie was preceded in death by a brother Ricky B. Grimes and also a sister, Terry L. Grimes. The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating. The interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Michael Bliss, John Lofton, David Persinger, David Kimblerlin, James "Cheeze" Smith and Bucky Robertson. Joseph " Zeke" Wright will serve as an Alternate. Friends may pay their respects anytime at Arritt Funeral Home. The family will receive their friends this evening from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at the funeral home.
