Rosemary Bailey Persinger, 72, of 3010 Valley Ridge Rd., died Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at her residence. Mrs. Persinger was a former resident of Charleston, WV. She was born November 14, 1945, in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late Cornelius and Isabel Powers Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Bailey. She was a retired Court Recorder for the Kanawha County Court in Charleston, WV. She was active in Special Olympics and was always an advocate for special needs childen. Surviving are her Husband, Thurmond Wayne Persinger, of Covington; her Step-son, Jeff Persinger and his Wife, Jen, of Richmond; three grandchildren, Samantha O'Brien, T.J. Boone and Sarah Gilmore, all of Charleston; 8 great grandchildren; two Sisters, Anne Elliott and her husband, Don, of San Bernardino, CA, and Ellen Stringer of Ohio; several nieces and nephews, including Dona Marsh and her husband, Mark. In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. The funeral service will be held Monday, July 2, 2018, at 2:00 PM at the graveside at Alleghany Memorial Park with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.
