PEARL BROWN Pearl Tucker Brown, 92, died this morning, Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at the Woodlands Nursing Home in Clifton Forge. Mrs. Brown was born December 8, 2009, in Alleghany County a daughter of the late Charles W. and Rosa Byer Tucker. She was a member of First Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, T.C. Brown, in 1991, five sisters, Trudy Weaver, Ruby Ailstock, Gladys Sullivan, Lula Reynolds and Muriel Vaness and three brothers, Lacy Tucker, Percy Tucker and Edgar Tucker. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jack Ratliff of Covington; her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Kim of Covington; four grandchildren, Craig and Scarlett Ratliff of Amelia; Cameron Ratliff of Covington; Brandy and Stan Moye, Jr. of Covington and Michael and Angie Brown of Covington; six great grandchildren; her sister, Marie Smith of Covington and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Friday in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating. The interment will be made in Alleghany Memorial Park. Friends may pay their respects at Arritt Funeral Home. The family will receive their friends Thursday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 PM the funeral home.
