George Guy Puffenbarger, 77, of Low Moor, died, Friday July 15, 2016, in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born March 13, 1939 in Highland Co., the son of the late Thornton G. Puffenbarger and Bessie Lambert Puffenbarger. In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by two sisters Dolly Andrews, Mary Andrews, and two brothers Clifford Puffenbarger and Robert Puffenbarger. Surviving are his niece Michele Hylton and husband Jon of Low Moor to whom he made his home with. Also surviving a brother-in-law Wayne Andrews of Covington; a sister-in-law Shirley Puffenbarger of Hot Springs and a number nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wishes his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be Monday at 6:00 PM in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Todd Lynn officiating. The family will receive their friends following the service.
