MARGARET SCOTT Margaret Ellen Scott, 90, formerly of East Pine Street, died Monday, April 27 , 2009, at the Brian Center Nursing Home in Low Moor. She was born October 16, 1918 at Cass in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, to the late William Scott and Minnie Louise Scott Robinson. Ms. Scott attended the former Watson High School on Marion Street. She was well known as a housekeeper in Covington having worked for many families in the area. She had retired in 1984 from the housekeeping department at The Homestead. Margaret was a devoted member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church of God in Christ where she had served on the Usher Committee and as President of the Hospitality Committee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Leonard Robinson, her twin sons, Richard James Scott and Robert William Scott, a grandson, Robert W. Scott, Jr., and a granddaughter, Rhapsody Scott-Nipassa. Left to mourn her passing are a Son, Langston L. Scott and his wife, Debra, of Lynchburg; a Daughter, Dorothy L.. Scott of Miami, FL; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Scott of Washington, DC; eight grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a host of friends including Alberta Pleasants, Elnora Tyler and Ellen Penn. The funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM in the Gospel Tabernacle Church of God in Christ with Elder Warner L. Hunter officiating. Interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at anytime at Arritt Funeral Home. The family will receive their friends for one hour prior to service time at the church.
