Mary Ann Humphries Sizer, of 9207 Potts Creek Rd., died Monday, July 25, 2016, at her residence. She was born in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late George Howard Humphries and Rosa Crowder Humphries. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sizer was preceded in death by her Husband, Andrew Walker Sizer, in 1970 and also by two sisters, Violet Loan and Lula Mae Paxton and one brother, Jimmy Humphries. Mrs. Sizer had retired as Teacher's Aide from the former Boling Springs Elementary School. She was a member of the Pinnell Chapel United Methodist Church and the Retired Teacher's Association. Surviving are her son, Rick Sizer and Teresa Howard of Covington; two granddaughters, Stacy Hitchcock and her husband Russ, of Salem and Heather McGrady and Mike Bryant of Covington; six great grandchildren, Logan Hitchcock, Maddy Hitchcock; Zack Sizer; Zane Staggs; Walker McGrady and Kaleigh Bryant one sister Vivian Kimberlin and her husband Tommy of Covington and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday July 27, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the graveside in Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. David Brown officiating. The family will receive their friends one hour prior to service time at the Arritt Funeral Home on Wednesday and at other times they will be at the Sizer Residence at 9207 Potts Creek Rd.
