Earnest Milton Jake Synder, Sr., 89, entered into God's Heaven on Tuesday, NOvember 22, 2011 on Tuesday, Nvember 22, 2011 at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital. He was born April 16, 1922, in Alleghany County to the late Jason A. and Minnie Alcie Synder. He was married to the late Mry Elizabeth Joes Synder. He was retired owner and operator for many years of Snyder's Garage in Sweet Chalybeate. He attended Forrest Mmorial Chapel Community Church. He was baptized on COve Creek bh the Rev. Buddy Burks. He loved playing his guitar, singing and working on his perpetual motion machine. He served in the World War II in the Army Division Motor Pool. He is survived by his daughters, Paige S. Roach and her Geroge of Scottsville, VA and Maryline S. Wickline and her husband David of Covington; one son, Earnest Snyder, Jr. of Roanoke, VA ; four granddaughters, Julie, Beth, and Jennifer of Roanoke and Krystle of Scottesville, VA 10 great grandson, and one great granddaughter. Several nieces. A special nephew and his wife, who was a faithful visitor, Julian and Jo Anna Cooke. He was preceded in death tow son, Benjamin Lanier Snyder and Julian Edward Snyder, one granddaughter, Elisha Dawn Snyder , one grandson, Little Ben Wickline; for sisters, Mary Arthur, Velma Howard, Bertha Carr, Lelia Cook and one brother, John Snyder. He was surrounded by the love and care of a wonderful staff of nurses and personnel at The Woodlands in Clifton FOrge, VA . His care givers athis home, Caroyln and Candice and helper Ricky. His faithful neighbors and friends. Pallbearers will be Charles Anderson,Pete Cook, Willie Cooke, Andy Snyder, Randi Snyder, Ricky Lucus, Travis Mullins , Erskine Graves and Gary Hefner.
