Clyde Mackdow Terry, passed away at home in Clifton Forge, Virginia, October 13, 2022, with family by his side at the age of 93 years old. Preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Lois M. Terry; two brothers Henry Terry and Louis Terry; one sister Lucille Farley; and his parents Calvin and Annie Newell Terry as well as his beloved pets puggie, jack, and peanut. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Curtis A. Smith Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1033. He had retired from Covington Tire Inc. Surviving are his children Michael Ray Terry Sr. and Pam; Steven Terry and Donna, and Robie Tucker, and Steven; grandchildren Mikie Terry Jr., and wife Nikki, Travis Terry, Chris Tucker and Beth, Daniel Tucker, Kevin Counts and Renee, Steven Terry Jr., Amber Hurt and Andrew; along with 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; special Niece, Muzzie Long, and special friends Brandi Plott, Edith Fowler, Donna Talbert, Helena and Paul Catron, one beloved pet Sandy Dee. A special thanks to the nurses and aides who took care of him, especially Pam Johnson. In keeping with his wishes his body has been cremated. The funeral service will be held on Thursday October 20, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with Chris Fisher officiating. The family will receive their friends on Thursday from Noon until service time at Arritt Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial donations in Mr. Terry’s name be made to Mountain Regional Hospice at P.O. Box 637 Clifton Forge, VA 24422 or to the Curtis A.
