Rosemary Wright Craft, 91, of Rich Patch, died Monday, June 12, 2017, at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem with her son by her side. Mrs. Craft was born May 26, 1926 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Jay P. and Maude Robinson Wright. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband, John William Craft, Jr, on March 3 of this year, a Son, William Eugene "Gene" Craft, in 2005, a Daughter, Linda Renee Craft, in 2013, a sister, Shirley Bess, two brothers, Jay Wright and Ray Wright. Rosemary was former employee of the Industrial Rayon Plant. Surviving are her son, John Randall "Randy" Craft, of Salem, her daughter in law Jeanne Craft of Clifton Forge, her sister, Carol Ann Phillippi, and husband, Joseph, of North Carolina, her brother, Wayne Wright, of Crozet, and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Thursday June 15, 2017, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating assisted by the Rev. Raymond Christian. Interment will be made in Alleghany Memorial Park. The family will receive their friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Arritt Funeral Home. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Craft's name to First Christian Church at 231 E. Fudge St., Covington, VA 24426 or Cliffdale Christian Church at 4605 Upper Rich Patch Rd., Covington, VA 24426.
