John Norman Cline, 70, of 167 Grande Road died Wednesday, December 25, 2019, in the University of Virginia Medical Center at Charlottesville. Mr. Cline was born March 28, 1939, in Raleigh County, West Virginia, a son of the late Robert and Genevieve Cline. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brandi Cline. He was a retired equipment maintenance employee for D.D. Kerns Construction Co. Surviving are his Wife, Brenda Burgin Cline, of Covington; his Son, Michael Cline, and his wife, Davita, of Selma, NC; two Daughters, Mary Smith, of Roanoke and Patricia Ashwell and her husband, Jeff, of Oak Hill, WV; a Step-son, Harry Miller, of Beckley, WV; a Step-Daughter, Kim Miller, of Beckley, WV; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Robert and Ruth Cline of Surveyor, WV, and Kenneth and Gail Cline of Mullens, WV; one Sister, Mary Conrad, of Culpepper and a number of nieces and nephews. Following cremation of his body, a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019, at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with Steve Richards officiating.
