Peter Paul Persinger, 72, of 716 E. Morris Hill Road, died Saturday April 16, 2016 at Bath County Community Hospital. He was October 25, 1943 in Alleghany County, a son of the late James H. Persinger Sr. and Wanda Evelyn Rucker Persinger. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Pritt Persinger in 2007 and also by two brothers, James H. Persinger, Jr. and Harry A. Persinger, Sr. Mr. Persinger retired after 48 years of service from Meadwestvaco as an Oiler. He was a member of Greenwood Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Mae Persinger of Roanoke and Charles and Sharon Persinger of Covington; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Persinger of Hopewell and Bertie Persinger of Covington; Step daughter Melinda Hamilton and her husband Bobby of Hot Springs and two step grandchildren, Erin Hamilton and Michael Hamilton both of Hot Springs, and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Catoe officiating. The interment will be made in Alleghany Memorial Park. The family will receive their friends Monday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at the Arritt Funeral Home. Memorial donations in Mr. Persinger's name may be made to: Falling Springs Rescue Squad, P.O.
