JAMES GIBSON James Waldo, "Dodo" Gibson, Jr. 60, of 806 N. Rockbridge Ave., died, Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at the Brian Center in Low Moor. He was born August 18, 1948 in Covington, a son of Anna Higgins Gibson of Covington and the late James W. Gibson, Sr. Mr. Gibson retried in 1983 from Meadwestvaco having been employed at the Water Treatment Plant for 15 1/2/ years. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, "Dodo" is survived by his wife, Helen Law Gibson of Covington; his son and daughter in law, James Michael and Christy Gibson of Covington; two daughters and a son in law, Melanie and Scott LaMere of Beverton, MI and Sandra Wolfe of Lewisburg; eight grandchildren; one brother, Charles Gibson and his wife, Sue of Covington and one sister Kathy McCauley and her husband Mike of Covington and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Price officiating, assisted by the Rev. John Burhham. The interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The active pallbearers will be David McCauley, James McCauley, Travis McCauley, Steven Gibson, Charles "Petie Gibson, Jr., Hank Reid, Joe Reid and Alan Law. Alternates will be Frank Law and Kevin Knick. Friends may pay their respects at the Arritt Funeral Home . The family will receive their friends this evening from 7:00 until 8:30 PM .
