DOODLEBUG CALLAGHAN Norville Lee "Doodlebug" Callaghan, 62, of 2602 Auburn Street, Low Moor, died, Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at his residence. He was born October 12, 1946 in Alleghany County, a son the late Jesse N. and Mary Hall Broughman Callaghan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, sisters, four Geneva Angle, Betty Hawkins, Marie Drye, Barbara Kemper; three brothers, Clarence Ray Broughman; Rinord Frank "Buck" Broughman and Jesse Callaghan. Surviving are his wife, Susan White Callaghan of Low Moor; step daughter, Deanna Le Johnson of West Virginia ; sisters, Jewel and Sonny Angle of Low Moor; Brenda Milton of Altavista; Mary Lu and Woody Kemper of Fincastle; sister in-law, Loretta Broughman of Roanoke; brothers, Richard and Miriam Broughman of Madison of GA and Ralph and Nellie Broughman of Chesapeake and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Saturday at the graveside in the Sunrise Cemetery with the Rev. Edith Snedegar officiating, assisted by the Rev. Mike Fisher. The pallbearers will be selected from family and friends attending the service. The family will receive their friends one hour prior to service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
