VIRGINIA CARTER Virginia Hubbard Carter, 84, of Covington, died, Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at The Springs Nursing Center in Bath County. She was born April 8, 1927 at Glace, WV ,a daughter of the late Murray A. and Minnie Mints Hubbard. Mrs. Carter was a member of the Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Ester Hubbard. Surviving are her husband, George Carter of Covington; one daughter, Phyllis C. Church and her husband, Brad of Clifton Forge; two grandchildren, Christopher A. Price of Harrisonburg and Sarah L. Church of Clifton Forge; four isters, Barbara Helen Peterson of Clifton Forge; Evelyn Grace Collier and her husband Jim of Salem, OR; Lena Garnett Kelly and her husband Ralph of Covington and Violet Hope Jones and her husband Ronnie of Clifton Forge; three brothers, Murray A. Hubbard , Jr. and his wife Naomi of Covington; John Harvey Hubbard and his wife Lorraine of Gap Mills, WV and Benjamin L. Hubbard and his wife Nancy of Covington and a number of nieces and nephews.
