Paul Wayne Lacks, 81, of 6310 Ogles Creek Road died Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at his home. Mr. Lacks was born September 24, 1938, in Alleghany County a son of the late Lindsay and Edith Morris Lacks. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Lacks, Sr. and Lindsay Lacks, Jr.. Paul had served in the National Guard and had retired in 1998 as a mechanic from AET. He was an avid fan of the Virginia Cavaliers and had a special love for his family. Surviving are his Wife of 60 years, Phyllis Morris Lacks, of Covington; one Son, Nathan Lacks and his Wife, Missy, of Buchanan; one Daughter, Tammy Newhouse, and her Husband, David, of Nace; one grandson, Matt Jones of Nace and several nieces and nephews. In keeping with the guidelines of the current pandemic crisis, a Private Graveside service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2020, in Hokes Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating. Arritt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
