CRAWFORD, Harold Willis, 87, of Covington died Saturday, September 28, 2013. Mr. Crawford was born February 17, 1926, in Craig County a son of the late Charles and Emma Adams Crawford. He was a veteran of World War II with the US Navy and was a longtime member of Curtis A. Smith Post #1033, Veterans of Foreign Wars. He had retired in 1991 from MeadWestvaco in Covington after 48 years with the company. He was a founding member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Covington where he has served as a Trustee and Deacon. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Lorene Bush Crawford in 1989, and also by three brothers and one sister. Surviving are his Son and Daughter-in-law, Jeff and Meg Crawford of Covington; three Daughters and Sons-in-law, Teresa and Danny Morrow of Campobello, SC, Christy and Allen Johnson of Chester and Cynthia and Tony Scialoia of Covington; seven grandchildren, Adona Baker, Matt Crawford, Travis Crawford, Luke Crawford and Garrett Crawford, all of Covington, Missi Pryor of Campobello, SC and Danielle Murray of Inman, SC; seven great grandchildren; two Brothers, Jake Crawford of Covington, Denny Crawford of Madison, WI; two Sisters, Phyllis Porter of Mauldin, SC and Frances Brouse of Sanford, NC, and a number of nieces and nephews. Interment will be made in the Persinger Memorial Cemetery with graveside rites by Curtis A. Smith Post #1033, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
