Randy Gene Walker, 57 of 1412 Hatcher Street, died, Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Lewis gale Medical Center in Salem. He was born November 3, 1951 in Alleghany County, a son of Edna Collins Walker Buffaloe of Covington and the late Cyrus Vernon "Billy" Walker. He was also preceded in death by his step father, Rufus Buffaloe . Randy was formerly an employee of the former Hercules, Inc. and Alleghany Motors. He retired from the Shipping Department at Bacova. He was a member of Clifton Forge Moose Lodge and the Clifton Forge Elks Lodge. Randy was interested in and loved all kinds of sports. In addition to his mother Edna, Randy is survived by a sister, Charlene Walker of Christiansburg; three brothers, Gary Walker and his wife, Diane; Tommy Walker and his wife, Pat and Danny Walker, all of Covington ; four nephews; two nieces ; two great nieces and a good friend, Tommy Garden of Covington. The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Fleenor officiating. The interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Walker, Tracey Walker, Craig Walker, Cyrus Walker, Wade Leech and Ricky Cooke. Alternates will be Cason Proffitt ,Gary Bishop, Bob may Gale Collins, Randy Collins, Jinny Hoke and Kimberly French. Friends may pay their respects at Arritt Funeral Home and the family will receive their friends Sunday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at the funeral home.
