Dorothy Bowman Cosby, 80, of 308 S. Marion Avenue, died, Thursday, March 5, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Covington, a daughter of the late Willie P. and Mary Lillian Chambers Bowman. In addition her parents Mrs. Cosby was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Pood" Cosby in 2001; one daughter-in-law, Louise Cosby; one brother Johnny Bowman and a grandson, Willie J. Cosby, Jr. She was a member of Pine Street Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving are a daughter, Nadine Horton of Covington; one son, Billy Cosby of Covington; two grandson's Edward M. Cosby and Susan Knupp of Covington and William "Boomie" Cosby of Covington and one granddaughter Dorothy "Dottie" Cosby of Richmond and five great grandchildren, Ka'tura Cosby; Raquann Mathews , Avion Brickhouse , Zoe Berryman and Isaiah Cooper. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Pine Street Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Harper officiating. The interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
