IRA PRICE, JR. Ira Cleveland Price, Jr, 67, of 434 Brentwood Drive , died, Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Alleghany Regional Hospital in Low Moor. Mr. Price was born September 5, 1941 in Giles County, a son of the late Ira C. Price, Sr. and Mary Woodyard Price. Ira was employed as a meat cutter at Covington Kroger and had retired from the Clifton Forge Kroger as the Manager in the Meat Cutting Department after 40 years of employment. He was employed part time at Bartley's Meat Market. Mr. Price was a member of the NRA and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a member of Granbery United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Sandra Day Price of Covington; one son, Kenneth Price and his wife, Dwendoyln of Kannapolis, NC ; one daughter, Karen Mundy and her husband, Kenny of Covington; three granddaughters, Morgan Price and Casey Price of Kannapolis, NC and Amber Mundy of Covington; two sisters, Becky Breeden of Pearisburg and Shirley Sarver and her husband Curtis of Newport News and severa nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Barry Throckmorton officiating. The interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.
