LUCILLE KIMBERLIN Lucille Peters Byer Kimberlin, 85, died peacefully, Saturday May 21, 2011 at her home ,surrounded by her by her family and friends. She was born November 19, 1925 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Samuel David and Lula Andrews Peters. Mrs. Kimberlin was a homemaker and was a member of the Greenwood Evangelical Church . She was a member of the Ladies Circle and served as a Treasure of the Church for a number years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William H. " Bill" Byer in 1967; her second husband, William J. Kimberlin in 1886; a son, H. Clemmer Byer in 2001; a grandson, Samuel David "Dee" Byer in 1999 ; two sisters, Mary Mann and Lula Virginia Peters and four brothers Charley Peters; Wilbur Peters ; Frankie Peters and Wilbur David Peters. Surviving are her daughter and son- in- law, Carolyn and Huck Nicely of Covington; one son and daughter- in- law , David P. and Linda Byer of Covington ; a daughter-in-law, Debra N. Byer of Covington; one granddaughter Suzanne Byer and Cameron Ratliff; one grandson, Brandon Byer ; two great granddaughters, Addyson DeeAnne Burkholder and Kinlee Day Ratliff; one sister, Maxine Smith and her husband Ira of Covington; two brothers, Jimmy Peters and Edward P. Peters and his wife, Diann, all of Covington and several nieces and nephews. The interment will follow in the Emory Chapel Cemetery.
