FLORENCE ADAMS Florence Crawford Tolley Adams, 79, of Friendship Heath Care Center in Roanoke, died, Sunday, August 8, 2010 . She was formerly of Scott Hill in Clifton Forge. She was born July 29, 1931 in Covington, a daughter of the late Herbert Dearl Crawford and Estella Loan Crawford. Prior to moving back to the Highlands , Mrs. Adams was employed by the IRS in Richmond. She retired from the Alleghany County ASCS Office in Covington as a Program Assistant. Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews including, Mary "Teeny" Shephard of Appomattox; Libby Via of Covington and david Crawford of Covington; great nieces and nephews, including, Stephen Via and J.D. Via , both of Covington Kenny Via of Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska; Jimmy Persinger of Lynchburg; Amamda McDaniel and Jack Wheeler, both of Covington.
