Carolyn Louise Wright, 63, of 8707 Mill Branch Road died Monday, March 16, 2015, at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. Mrs. Wright was born November 13, 1951, in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Emmett W. Wright, Sr. and Carrie Beckner Wright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Emmett Wright, Jr. and Jerry Wright. Carolyn was an avid gardener and a devoted bingo player. Surviving are her Husband of 47 years, Joseph Wright, of Covington; her Daughter and Son-in-law, Sherry and Toby Malcom of Covington; her Son, Joseph Wright, Jr. of Covington; three grandchildren, Brandon Jackson, Hunter Malcom, III and Taylor Brooke Malcom, all of Covington and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. David Brown officiating. Interment will be made in Lone Star Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wilson Wright, Matt Chittum, Steve Miller, Al Harris, Johnny Wright and Jesse Lily. Alternates will be John Wright and Marty Wright.
