Josie Bennett Humphries, 104, of the Brian Center Rehabilitation & Nursing Care in Low Moor, VA. She was born July 24, 1913 in Peoria, Indiana, a daughter of the late Robert Bennett and Orpha Massie Deaver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Humphries in 1980 and by five siblings, Ola Bennett, Nola Bennett, Ocie Lee Bennett, William R. Bennett and Lola Bennett. Mrs. Humphries was a clerk with the former Montgomery Ward in Covington. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her brother Kenneth Deaver of Summersville,WV. The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, May 14, 2018 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Virgil Woodie officiating. The entombment will be follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive their friends at 1:00 PM to service time at the Arritt Funeral Home on Monday.
