MILDRED ROSE Mildred Goff Rose, 83, of the Berkshire Health Care Center in Vinton died Friday night, January 16, 2009, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Rose was born July 18, 1925, at Greenlee in Rockbridge County a daughter of the late Levi Houston and Naomi Leighton Goff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Rose, and by two brothers. Surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Helen Goff of Covington; her sister, Gladys Gaylor of West Point; three sisters-in-law, Betty and Charles Breeden of Roanoke; Phyllis and Kenny Brooks and Barbara Breeden all of Charlottesville and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 PM at the graveside in Alleghany Memorial Park with the Rev. Ken Mason officiating. The family will receive their friends one hour prior to service time at Arritt Funeral Home.
