William Glenn "Bill" Dawson, 72, of 315 E. Parrish Street died Thursday, November 1, 2018, at his home. Mr. Dawson was born April 3, 1946, in Covington a son of the late Frank H. Dawson, Sr. and Rita Hiner Dawson. Bill was veteran of the Vietnam War with the U.S. Marine Corp. He had retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation and operated a mechanic shop at his home specializing in Volkswagen repair. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He is survived by his Brother, Frank H. Dawson, Jr., of Great Mills, MD; his girlfriend, Patricia Mulkey, of Whitehouse, TX; special friends, Richard Watson, Don Dulaney, Albert Tucker and David Goff all of Covington. In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service may be held at a later date.
