Marlene Bogar Wolfe, 68, of 105 Hallies Rd., passed away on Tuesday December 13, 2022, at her residence.
Mrs. Wolfe was born April 18, 1954, in Alleghany County a daughter of the late Jacob and Lillian Wright Bogar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard (Pork) Wolfe in 2014; two sisters Goldie Tucker and Jeanette Bess.
She was a former employee at many local sewing factories in the area and a cook at the Bear Walla Hunt Club and Kountry Corners. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her cat Rusty.
Surviving are three daughters and son in laws Shannon Paxton and Todd of Covington, Jennifer Harris and Norman of Troutville, and Nichole Benedict and Tommy of Clifton Forge; three grandchildren Noel, Dalton, and Baylee of Clifton Forge; four sisters Judy Clarke and husband David, Arlene Shinault and husband Ted, and Robin Gillispie and husband Bobby, and Wanda Fridley all of Covington; three brothers Carl Bogar, Jeff Bogar, and wife Wanda, and Clifford Bogar and wife Linda all of Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday December 16, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home.
The interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery
The family will receive their friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Arritt Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Todd Paxton, Norman Harris, Chris Tucker, Robert Tucker, David Kimberlin, and Timmy Givens.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Wolfe’s name to the American Cancer Society at PO Box 4110, Glen Allen, VA 23058.
The funeral arrangements are being handled by Arritt Funeral Home.
