KAREN CHAPLIN Karen Sue Chaplin , 47, of The Woodlands in Clifton Forge , died, Wednesday evening , December 19, 2012 at Lewis Gale- Alleghany in Low Moor. She was born January 4, 1965 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Mary Booze Chaplin. Karen retired as a CNA in health care. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Harmon "Barbie" Summers on December 14, 2012 and Lisa Chaplin. Surviving are her Mom, Anita Parker Smith Roberts of Dothan, AL; a number of siblings, including, Tammy Chaplin and Charlie Walker of Covington; Victor Chaplin; Marianne Parker Miller of Dothan, AL; Wanda Parker Morgan; Sammy Parker and Ricky Parker, all of Roanoke; Billy Parker and Todd Jones and aunts , uncles and cousins and her family at The Woodlands. In keeping with her wishes, Karen's body has been cremated. The family suggests that memorial donations in Karen's name be made to The Woodlands Residence Fund., 1000 Fairview Ave., Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
