Sidney Marvin Small, 61, of Iron Gate, died Tuesday 16, 2015 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. He was born May 6, 1954 in Chico, California, a son of the late Willard V. and Cora Elaine Norton Small. In addition to his parents, Mr. Small was preceded in death by his first wife, Sharon Switzer Small and also by a brother. Mr. Small served his country in the United States Army. He was a computer programmer for LMI in .He was a member of the Wednesday night Bowling League; a Volunteer at Sharon Elementary School and was a member of Calvary Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, Tabitha Hicks Small of Iron Gate; 3 daughters, Amy Small of Iron Gate; Janice Montgomery and her husband Brandon of Salem; and Elizabeth Small of Iron Gate; one son, William Small; three grandchildren, Daemien Small of Iron Gate; Kayelynn Dickson and Carter Montgomery, both of Salem; three brothers and three sisters and several nieces and nephews. The memorial service will be held Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Calvary Christian Church with the Rev. Mike Warren officiating. The family will receive their friends from 9:30 AM until service time at the Church on Thursday.
