Anna Mae Bratton, 71, of 3009 Kanawha Trail, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. She was born October 30, 1946, in Greenbrier County, a daughter of the late James Bowes and Sarah Huffman Bowes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dwight "Ike" Bowes and Bill Bowes; one sister, Nina Bowes, and two nephews, Anthony Bowes and Tim Bowes. Mrs. Bratton had retired as a clerk for T & E Gifts and Things Shop. She was a member of the Dunlap Christian Church. Anna Mae is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Howard Bratton, of Covington; one son, William "Bill" Bratton and his wife, Brenda, of Statesville, NC; one daughter, Rhonda Denise Webb, of Statesville, NC; three Grandchildren, William Chase Bratton, Dylan Scott Webb and Brayden Stephen Webb, all of Statesville, NC; one sister, Delores Sanford and her husband, Rick, of Lewisburg, WV; two brothers, Joseph Huffman and his wife, Betty Lou, and Alan Bowes and his wife, Wilma, all of Lewisburg, WV and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017, at 11:00 AM in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Atkins officiating, assisted by the Rev. Buddy Burks. The family will receive their friends Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until service time at Arritt Funeral Home.
