ROSA BRISCOE Rosa Caldwell Briscoe, 88, died, Friday , December 12, 2008 at The Woodlands in Clifton Forge. She was born July 25, 1920 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Clarence F. and Flora Bush Caldwell. Mrs. Briscoe was a member of the South Covington United Church and the United Methodist Women. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ward Hl Briscoe in 1974 a daughter, Barbara King in 1999 and also a brother, Leroy Caldwell in 1987. Surviving are her daughter, Martha Williamson and her husband, Donnie of Moneta; her granddaughter, Brie Ann King of Richmond; three step grandsons, Chris and Cate Williamson of Charlottesville; Dustin Williamson of Harrisonburg and Ty Williamson if Myrtle Beach and a son-in-law, Robert King, Jr. of Williamsburg. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Virgil Woodie officiating. The interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park. Friends may pay their respects at Arritt Funeral Home. The family will receive their friends Monday evening from 7:00 until 8:00 PM at Arritt Funeral Home.
